Kevin Smith

Kevin Dean Smith, 44, of Fennville, formerly of Bridgman, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at his home.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday, March 13 at the Community Church of Douglas from 5-7 PM followed by a service at 7 PM with Dr Daniel Miller officiating. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 14 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman with the Rev. Christopher Noffke officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to his children.

Kevin was born March 15, 1964 in St. Joseph the son of Irving and Lorraine (Trapp) Smith. He graduated from Bridgman High School and attended Ferris State University. Kevin was a member of Community Church of Douglas.

Survivors include three children – Kyle Smith, Patrick Smith, and Erin Smith all of Fennville; one grandson, Brayden Smith; his mother, Lorraine Smith; two brothers – Thomas (Sharon) Smith and Terrence (Janet) Smith; two sisters – Patricia Brown and Lorrie (Jimmy) Ray; stepmother, Evelyn Smith; nieces and nephews – Nathan (Alaina), Abby, Ashley, Shawn, and Brandon Smith, and Shane and Seth (Nikki) Ray; and a great nephew, Aidan Coy.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Irving Smith, in 1983.
