Kerry Krieger

Kerry Lee Krieger, 47, of New Troy passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, December 23, 2016 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1733 W. Glendora Road, Buchanan, with Reverend Jonathan A. Liebich officiating. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday from 4-8 PM at The Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman and on Friday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. Burial with military rites will be in Riverside Cemetery, Three Oaks. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church or Bridgman High School Athletic Dept., 9964 Gast Road, Bridgman MI 49106.

Kerry was born April 27, 1969 in St. Joseph, the son of the late Ronald and Yvonne (Potter) Krieger. He was a 1987 graduate of River Valley High School. Kerry served in the United States Marine Corps. from 1987-1991 and was currently serving in the US Army Reserve 656 Transportation Unit, Kingsbury, Indiana. On June 5, 1993 he married Shawna Leigh Granke. Kerry worked for the Berrien County Road Commission and was a member of the New Troy American Legion, Weechik Post 518.

Survivors include his wife of _23 years, Shawna; a daughter: Jalynn; a brother: Kenneth (Ann) Krieger of Hubert, NC; a sister: Kay Krieger of Bridgman and his faithful K9 companion, Chief.

Kerry was also preceded in death by one brother, Kevin, in 1994.
