Kenneth Bernard Mattner, 89, of Baroda passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at his home.
A funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday, October 4, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 9193 Cleveland Ave, Baroda with Reverend Jim Morgan. Friends may meet with the family 10 – 11 AM at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Memorial contributions may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church or Bridgman American Legion, Post 331. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com
Kenneth was born September 24, 1932 in South Haven, the son of the late Alfred and Florence (Marbieter) Mattner. In 1952, Kenneth married Elizabeth Bartolone and she preceded him in death in 1969. On November 19, 1971 he married Patsy Baggett and they shared 49 years together. Kenneth was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baroda. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of the Bridgman American Legion, Post 331. Kenneth retired from Whirlpool Corporation in 1996 after 31 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, NASCAR, watching time trials of the Indy 500, and camping with his family.
Survivors include his wife: Patsy; children: Sally (Terry) Roden, Ken A. (Sandy) Mattner, Sharon (Todd) Boyd, Rina (Robert) Sellers, and Bradley (Jodi) Mattner; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings: Sandy Jenkins, Sue Briles, and Linda Ferrara.
Kenneth was also preceded in death by his daughter: Terri Perdue; and two sisters: Betty Popke and Marilyn Kitron.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
