Born July 16, 1948 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, she grew up in Three Oaks, Michigan before finally settling down to raise her family in Bridgman, Michigan. Judy worked at the AT&T facility in Niles, Michigan until it closed in 1994. Judy was a strong and proud member of the Democratic Party.
Judy was a strong family oriented woman. Very strong willed and independent, she never rode the fence of political correctness. You always knew where you stood with her. But kind, loving and caring cannot even begin to describe this woman whom always put others before herself. Her sacrifices were many, and her loyalty and friendship were second to none. She was always there for others, providing comfort and understanding, no matter what the situation was. Simply put, to know Judy was to love her. A better role model for others has yet to be found.
Judy was a lover of all animals, but especially enjoyed her bird watching. She had several favorites that came around daily; orioles, blue birds, humming birds, cardinals and gold finches. She loved feeding the deer in her backyard, and seemed to always have several dogs running around in her home. Her dogs were like family to her.
Another of Judy’s favorite past times was music. She loved all kinds of music, and really enjoyed attending live concerts. Although she enjoyed a wide variety of musical styles, nothing could surpass her fondness for rock ‘n roll! Judy was also very adept at crossword puzzles. There wasn’t a crossword puzzle out there that she couldn’t complete in less than 10 minutes!
