Juanita Duschek

Juanita Ruth Duschek, 80, of Baroda passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2011.

A Funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman, with Pastor Clare Cardy officiating. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Friends may meet with the family on Friday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice at Home or Baroda Bible Church.

Juanita was born November 30, 1930 in Niles, MI, on property that is currently part of Fernwood Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve, the daughter of the late August Carl Skala and Alma (Wesner) Skala. On May 21, 1955, she married Raymond Duschek and they shared these past 55 years together until Ray’s death March 1, 2011.

Survivors include her children - Dennis (Denise) Duschek of LaPorte, IN, Douglas Duschek of Stuart, FL, Pamela Duschek of Mishawaka, IN; two grandchildren - Nathan (Ashley) Duschek and Aaron (Kelli) Duschek; three great grandchildren - Devon Nicholas, Ava Nicole and Alexa Rae; brothers - August (Shirley) Skala Jr. and Bernard (Maxine) Skala; sister - Janice (Ronald) Bergeron.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Raymond and her daughter Jodi Marie Duschek.
