Joyce Ann Tio

Joyce Ann Tio beloved mother, “jamma”, sister, daughter and friend passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023 at Corewell Health South, St. Joseph at the age of 52.

Cremation has taken place and at this time, the family will be remembering Joyce privately. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.

Joyce was born on May 21, 1971 the daughter of Gary and Patricia (Schedler) Zavoral, Sr. On March 30, 1992 she married her one true love, Alfred Tio III and he preceded her in death in 2011- they have been reunited again. She grew up with a love for nature and spent much of her time outdoors, gardening and taking walks on the beach in search of beach glass. She also had a passion for being in the kitchen and loved making delicious meals, jellies, and applesauce’s for her family. Joyce’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished deeply.

Survivors include her children: Jordan (Timothy) Kreitner, Kirsten Tio, Madison Tio, Justin Tio, Ian Tio, and Payton Tio; step-daughter: Allison Valenti; grandchildren: Brayden, Harmoni, Autumn, Oliver, Alex, Samuel, Olivia; and her siblings: Katherine (Alan) Heritz, Gary (Cathy) Zavoral, Jr., Chad (Leah) Zavoral, Joel (Mary) Zavoral, John (Victoria) Zavoral, Michael (Sarah) Zavoral, and Nichole Lentz.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
