John Ronald Christopher Woodlan

John Ronald Christopher Woodlan, 68 of Buchanan passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at his home.

A gathering to celebrate John’s life will be held from 5–6:30 PM on Monday, July 15, 2024 at American Legion Post 518, 4789 Weechik Rd., New Troy, with Military Honors at 5 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Toys for Tots.  Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.  

John was born on December 24, 1955 in Detroit, the son of the late Robert and Betty (Witherall) Woodlan. He was a loving grandpa, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman who proudly served 30 years in the United States Marine Corps and volunteered at Weesaw Township Fire Department.

Survivors include his children: Emily Frye and Michael Woodlan; son-in-law, Clay Frye; grandson, Gunner Frye; sister, Diane (Russell) Wingert; and nephews: Christopher and Daniel Wingert.

John was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert M. Woodlan.

Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
