Joe Perkey

Joe Paul Perkey 78 of Bridgman, Michigan passed away peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Hanson Hospice Center, Stevensville.

Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Thursday, March 29, 2018 at The Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family prior to service at 1 PM. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice at Home 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph MI 49085.

Joe was born Thursday, April 27, 1939 in Cave City, Arkansas to the late Bernice and Edna (Matheny) Perkey . He married his wife of 54 years, Clara, on June 14, 1964. Joe was a patient and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He retired from Bendix/Allied after 25 years and farmed in Baroda. He enjoyed being with his family, playing dominoes, hunting and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Survivors include his wife, Clara; three daughters: Kerry (Chris) Bolin, Kelly Allen and Karen (Dean) Anderson; six grandchildren: Nicholette, Courtney (Keith), Jessica (Joel), Brett, Danielle and Kara; eight great grandchildren: Izaiah, Jayden, Emma, Jadah, Hailey, Jackson, Anna and Elias; two brothers: Teddy Perkey and Morris Perkey; Sister: Joyce Dupree.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Perkey.
