Jerry was born November 21, 1933 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of the late George and Alma (Snook) Armstrong. He served proudly in the National Guard. Jerry was Maintenance Director for Cupertino United School District in Cupertino, California, retiring in 1988. He was Assistant Manager for Ace Appliance for over 20 years where he worked with his son, Steve. He loved to travel and explore – or as he would say “prowl around” – his surroundings. Jerry enjoyed his children, grandchildren, camping, fishing, and boating.

Survivors include his adored wife, Betty; proud father of his children Steve (Deena) Armstrong of Bridgman, Sandy (Joe) Dobbins of Windsor, California, and preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Armstrong in 1981; beloved grandfather of Steven Armstrong, Jr., Patrick Armstrong, Casey Dobbins, and Nicole Dobbins; and loving brother of Don (Alice) Armstrong of Campbell, California.

Jerry was also preceded in death by Betty’s son, Craig Burke, in 1994; and two brothers – George and James Armstrong.
