Jerome “Jerry” Albert Brincks, 85, of Bridgman passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Hanson Hospice Center, Stevensville.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 3903 Lake St., Bridgman, MI 49106. Friends may meet with the family from 10-11 at the church on Monday prior to the service. Final resting place will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.
Jerry was born on October 17, 1938 in Carroll, Iowa, the son of the late Anton and Margaret (Kennebeck) Brincks. On May 28, 1960 he married the former Lois Woerdehoff. Jerry proudly served in the US Army from 1955-1958. Jerry retired from the Cook Nuclear Plant after 20 plus years. In his free time, he was a volunteer fireman for the city of Bridgman. He also was great at making toys out of wood for his grandkids. On many afternoons you could find Jerry and Lois sitting outside on their swing.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Lois; five children: Jean (Mark) Knaak, Michael (Lori Boone) Brincks, Michelle (Lewis) Elkins, Jenny (Eric) Cooper, and Julie Pyburn; 11 grandchildren: Ashley, Rachael, Cody, Chase, Tiffany, Alicia, Patric, Bryan, Kasey, Jeremy and Daniel; five great grandchildren: Claire, Anna, Hudson, Carter and Mabel; and one sister, Darlene Crane.
Jerry was also preceded in death by a sister, Joan Schulte.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
