Jean Marie Ott

Jean Marie Ott, 98, of Baroda passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022 at Petrona’s Country Home, Baroda.  

A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, with Reverend David Londot, officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 10 AM – 12 Noon on Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Jean was born on March 17, 1924 in Benton Harbor, the daughter of the late Albert and Caroline (Lindt) Greiffendorf. On August 24, 1946, she married Edgar and he preceded her in death in 2000. Jean was a lifelong resident of Baroda. She was born with the spirit of giving. To fuel her passion of helping others, she became a nurse. She attended Borgess Nursing School, and worked at Mercy Hospital as an RN for over 30 years. Jean loved to spend time at Ford Lake and loved to entertain and have people over at her house.

Survivors include her children: Doug (Debbie) Ott and Gayle Ott; grandchildren: Griffin (Katherine) Ott and Sara (Scott) Winkler. Jean and Ottsie also brought a nephew, Glen Greiffendorf into their home and raised him as their own. Survivors also include a niece: Julie Page and a nephew: Daniel Ott.

Jean was also preceded in death by a brother: Donald Greiffendorf.
