Jay Alan Davis

Jay Alan Davis, 61, departed this world and entered into eternity on August 3, 2023.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Lakeside Family Church, 6999 Red Arrow Highway, Stevensville, MI 49127. Friends may meet with the family from 11 AM – 1 PM at the church, prior to the service. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.

Jay was born on January 14, 1962, the son of the late James and Ida (Gallert) Davis. He grew up playing baseball with his brothers which led to his love of softball in his early years. Jay was an avid bowler, and had scored three 300 games in his lifetime. He enjoyed attending Legion Bowling tournaments across the state and National tournaments across the country. Jay served in the Marine Corps from 1980 to 1984. After enlistment he began working at the D.C. Cook Plant for the next 12 years in the purchasing department and tool crib before moving on to Whirlpool for the next 8 years where he was contracted through Gathright Services providing security support. When Four Winds Casino opened in 2007, Jay was offered a position as a ‘dealer of table games’ and his favorite was Craps. Jay remained at Four Winds Casino until his day of passing. Jay and Patty Green Davis first met in 1984. Although they parted ways in 1985, they reunited in 1992, and were joined in holy matrimony on August 6, 1993.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years: Patricia; son: David; grandson: Dayton; granddaughter: Annabelle; and his brother: Kris (Mikki) Davis.

Jay was also preceded in death by his brothers: Jim Jr. and Kent; sons: Eddie and Benjamin Gallas; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
