Irene Koch

BRIDGMAN - Irene Frances Koch, 87, of Bridgman, formerly of Orchard Park, New York passed away on Monday, April 26, 2010 at Jordan’s Life Care Center.

Irene was born January 10, 1923 in Buffalo, New York the daughter of the late Frank and Victoria Herko. On May 24, 1947 she married Jack Koch and together they shared 54 years until his death in November 2001. She enjoyed playing pinochle with the family, was a passionate expert bridge player, and was always engaged in reading a novel.

Survivors include four children: Christopher (Karen) Koch of St. Joseph, Gretchen Koch of Scituate, Massachusetts, Heidi (Michael) McCraw of Monroe, Michigan, and Jennifer Woodlief of San Francisco; one sister - Alice Enders; and 8 grandchildren - Marissa, Kim, Kelli, Lila, Jackson, Tess, Griffin and Owen. She was preceded in death by a sister - Jean Herko.
