Horst Weitsche

Horst H. Weitsche, 90, of Bridgman passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, July 20, at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman with Reverend Thomas Brazinsky officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Horst was born February 9, 1926 in East Germany the son of the late Hermann and Minna (Schroder) Weitsche. On December 24, 1948 he married Irmgard Schnoder and she preceded in death February 6, 2007. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bridgman.

Survivors include three grandchildren – Charles, Krystie, and Nydia; many great grandhildren; and a sister, Giesela Apel of Germany. Horst was also preceded in death by a daughter Elke Novak in 2009.
