Hope Moberg

Hope Dolores Moberg, 86, of Bridgman, formerly of Illinois, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2009 at Woodland Terrace, Bridgman.

Mrs. Moberg was born March 4, 1923 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Herman and Mary (Thompson) Lassen. In 1965 she married Edwin Moberg and he preceded her in death in 2001. Hope lived in Illinois most of her life but in recent years moved to Michigan to be closer to her family. She enjoyed cooking, making Danish Christmas cookies, crocheting, playing cards, reading mystery novels, and spending time with her family and Poodle, Sugar. Her warm smile and kind heart will be greatly missed.

Survivors include two children – Greg (Ricki) La Bounty of Royal Oak, Michigan and Nadine La Bounty of Bridgman; three grandchildren – Rachel (John) Phillips of St. Joseph, David (Cheryl) La Bounty of Lake Orion, Michigan, and Christopher (Gina) La Bounty of Apple Valley, Minnesota; and three great grandchildren.

Hope was also preceded in death by two brothers – Thomas and Theodore Lassen.
