Helmut Wilhelm Krebs

Helmut Wilhelm Krebs, 90, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Blueroof Church, 3084 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Friends may meet with the family from 10-11 AM on Monday at the church, prior to the service. Burial will be at Hickory Bluff Cemetery, Stevensville. Helmut was born on January 15, 1935 in West Prussia, the son of the late Emil and Agnes (Hoecke) Krebs. On August 29, 1960 he married the former Elfrieda Fitz. He was a member of the Blueroof Church. Helmut owned and operated Regal Finishing in Coloma. He took pride in his work and looked out for the well-being of his employees.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Elfrieda; two children: Bernd (Marie-Anne) Krebs and Margret (Randy) Fife; and four grandchildren: Bjorn (Alizabeth Kerber) Krebs, Deanna (William) Clark, Lars Krebs, and Darren Fife.

Helmut was also preceded in death by a grandson, Eike Krebs in 2015; and a brother, Gerhard Krebs in 1980.

Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman.
