Heike was born March 18, 1964 in Hamburg, Germany to her mother Hanna Kemper who preceded her in death and father Horst (Hilda) Kemper. She celebrated life with her dedication to God and spreading the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Heike grew up in Stevensville Michigan becoming a highly skilled Musician and graduated from Lakeshore High School. She met Buzz and had their first date October 11, 1981 and then married six days after their graduation, on June 11, 1982. She was fluent in two languages: English and German. She is close with her sister Chrystal and brother-in-law Alan Ramsey and had daily devotions with them and her sister in-law Rhonda. They all shared prayer concerns adding people to their lists of people to pray for. She dedicated her life to caregiving and raising her son with Cystic Fibrosis. She shares a special closeness with her son Blair constantly tending their powerful relationship. She loves her grandson Jonah and stated what a miracle he is. She cared for the elderly whom she administered with life services and Christian coaching. God was first in everything she did and everyone she spoke to. Her long marriage to Buzz is attributed to their faith in God and their dedication to a life in Jesus Christ. She was known best for her word’s encouragement using her writing skills and supporting EVERYONE she connected with in life. She cared for many families and their extended family members for decades. Husband Buzz stated that even on Saturday she was sending a get-well card of encouragement to a friend’s mother who had surgery. Strong in her faith, dedicated to loving people, she set an example for us all on how to live better and love one another.

Heike is also survived by her son: Blair (Brandi) Powers; grandson: Jonah; sister: Chrystal (Alan) Ramsey; nephews: Brian (Merry) Ramsey and their children: Mason and Monroe; Justin and his son: Ben; Arron (Rachel) Ramsey and their daughter: Willow: sister: Brenda (Don) Brunke; sister-in-law: Rhonda Laureys (Rob Carlson); sons: Mason Laureys and Trevor (Jana) Laureys; and mother-in-law: Janet (Jack) Sperbeck.
