Haskel “Hack” Eugene Starbuck, 66 of Bridgman passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday, July 18, 2011 at Pike Funeral Home, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman, Reverend Jonathan Kruschel and Reverend Gerald Schroer officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family prior to the service from 10 -11 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Lincoln Township Fire Department or Bridgman American Legion Post 331.

Hack was born December 23, 1944 in Albuquerque, New Mexico the son of the late Clifford A and Zelma Starbuck. On July 3, 1965 he married Connie K. Kolberg and she preceded him in death on January 25, 2003.

He retired as the Director of Berrien County Animal Control and owned and operated Hack Sales and Service Matco Tools of Bridgman. Hack was a past member of the Tri-Unit Fire Department, and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Stevensville. Hack loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, working around the yard and walking.

Survivors include his son Jeffrey and Elaine Starbuck of Baroda and their son, Chad.

Hack was also preceded in death by three brothers - Eugene, Leo and Jack.
