H. Peterson

Herbert Kendall Peterson, 82 of Bethany Beach, formerly of Mt. Prospect, Illinois passed away at his home on Monday, January 5, 2015.

A memorial service will be held 2:30 PM CST, Saturday, March 28 at Willow Creek Community Church, 67 Algonquin Road, S. Barrington IL. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ken’s name may be made to Moody Bible Institute, 820 North LaSalle Street, Chicago, IL 60610.

Ken was born September 23, 1932 in Chicago Illinois the son of the late Roland and Esther (Bjorndahl) Peterson. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois and a architect for over 45 years at Shaymen and Salk Architects, North Brook Illinois.

On November 24, 1951 he married Lois Vink and she survives along with a daughter; Karyn (Bradley) Horvath of McHenry, IL; two sons: H. Kendall “Skip” (Danielle) Peterson of Wauconda, IL and Brian Peterson of Sawyer; two grandchildren: Eric (Karen) Horvath and Erin Horvath; three great grandchildren: Abigail, Rebekah and Rachel Horvath.

Ken was also preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Peterson.
