Harry Bruce Nyberg, 65, of St. Joseph passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.

A memorial service will be held 11 AM Monday, June 8, 2009 at Harbert Community Church with Rev. Ronald Magnuson officiating. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service at church. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Berrien County Cancer Service or Harbert Community Church.

Bruce was born July 29, 1943 in Englewood, Illinois the son of Harry and Maynette (Sundelius) Nyberg. He graduated from Three Oaks High School in 1961 and attended Ferris State College. He served in the US Navy from 1968-1971. Bruce worked for over 30 years at New Products Corp. in Benton Harbor. He was a member of Harbert Community Church, Fraternal Order of Police, and The Elks Lodge in St. Joseph. Bruce enjoyed golfing, working in his yard, and spending time with family and his many friends.

Survivors include his mother, Maynette Nyberg of Grand Rapids, a sister, Sandy (Leon) Sherburn of Berrien Springs; one nephew, Lars Sherburn of Berrien Springs; and two nieces – Amelia Sherburn and Rebekah Sherburn all of Berrien Springs.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Harry Nyberg in 1999.
