Gottlieb Jaeger, 87, of Bridgman passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Jordan’s Life Care Center, Bridgman.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 2 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman with Pastor Jon Bendewald officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church Benevolent Fund.

Mr. Jaeger was born October 20, 1921 in Poland the son of the late Adolph and Elsie (Spitzke) Jaeger. On November 22, 1946 he married the former Alma Bauer. He worked for Pemco Die Casting in Bridgman from 1955-1970. He then co-founded Triple C Company, D & F Mold Company, and Jericho Die Cast. Gottlieb was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bridgman.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Alma; two sons – Bernard (Gwen) Jaeger of Elkhart and Norbert Jaeger of Sterling Heights; seven grandchildren – Andrew, Tamara, Dr. Lisa Spinner, Jessica, Joshua, Jonathan, and Justine; two brothers – Willi (Frieda) Jaeger and Oskar (Ingrid) Jaeger all of Germany; and a sister, Lea (Theodore) Polischuk of Germany.

Gottlieb was also preceded in death by a son, Edgar; one brother and two sisters.
