George Genetzke

Biography

George Paul Genetzke, 76, of Sawyer passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 at his home.

A graveside service will be held 10 AM Monday, Sept. 22, 2008 at Weesaw Township Cemetery, Glendora, with Reverend Kendall L. Schaeffer officiating. Friends may meet with the family following the graveside service at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sawyer for a gathering and memorial luncheon. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.

George was born December 26, 1931 in Galien, the son of the late William and Emma (Natzke) Genetzke. He graduated from New Troy High School and went on to study electronic repair and also worked on the farm.

Survivors include a sister: Wilma Rennhack of New Troy; 3 nieces: Sharon Schmidt, Lori Grover and Susan Koleski and two nephews: David and Steven Rennhack. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert W. Genetzke in 1990.
