Frieda Lucille Gantzer, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center, Michigan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Tuesday, August 9 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 3903 Lake Street, Bridgman, with Father Arthur Howard as Celebrant. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater, Michigan. Friends may meet with the family Monday from 6-8 PM at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman.

Frieda was born April 13, 1919 in Elkhart, Indiana the daughter of the late Arno P. and Anna (Eash) Baker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, and was an accomplished pianist as well as organist playing for various Catholic Churches throughout her life including Our Lady Queen of Peace.

Survivors include six children - Donald (LaVonne) Gantzer of Bridgman, Terry Gantzer of Portage, MI, Robert (Bonnie) Gantzer of Franklin, WI, Merry (John) Zogas of Anchorage, AK, Christine (Carl) Tubbs of Stevensville, Greg Gantzer of Smyrna, DE; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

Frieda was preceded in death by her husband Donald, and one grandson - Wyatt Zogas.
