Freida Yerke

Freida Marie Yerke, 90 of Bridgman passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Pine Ridge Nursing Center, Stevensville.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5791 Sawyer Road, Sawyer with the Reverend Randy D. Lett officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 5 - 7 PM Wednesday at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, PO Box 247, Sawyer, MI 49125.

Freida was born September 18, 1927 in St. Joseph the daughter of the late Ira and Oceanna (Nace) Craft. Freida was a waitress at Win Schulers Restaurant for over 40 years. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sawyer and a dedicated member of the Ladies Aid and the PTA. On February 17, 1945 she married Albert Henry Yerke and he preceded her in death on May 25, 2015.

Survivors include children: Dianne (Eugene) Brenning, Deborah (Robert) Gitersonke, Denise (Randall) Klann and Dawn (Michael) Hammer; grandchildren: Jason, Kristin, Matthew, Marc, Michael Jr., Jessica; and nine great grandchildren and a sister Marlene Ishmael.

Freida was also preceded in death by a grandson Craig Smith; two sisters: Donna Sinner and Ada Melvin and two brothers: Duwayne Craft and George Craft.
