Biography

Florestine “Flo” Wallace, 65, of Sawyer passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Michigan City,IN.

A Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 4, at Sawyer Highlands Church, 13100 Red Arrow Highway, Sawyer, with Reverend Jeff Dryden officiating. Friends may meet with the family before the service beginning at 10 AM. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Three Oaks. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Sawyer Highlands Church.

Flo was born August 30, 1945 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of the late George and Iona (Williams) Jones. She loved rocking the babies at the nursery and enjoyed her Life Group at the church.

Survivors include her husband Henry; children - Cornellious of South Bend, IN, Janice of Margate, FL; six grandchildren - Brittany, Erick, and Paige Curtis, Jessica Triejs, Kristine, Carson; brothers - Otto Jones and George Jones and a sister, Barbara Scales.

Flo was preceded in death by infant twin boys, Angela Curtis, Clarence Jones, Marshall Jones and Odessa Wembley.
