Ewald “Ed” Beregsasy, 77, of Baroda passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Corewell Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Pike Funeral Home, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 10-11 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Memorial Contributions may be given to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Ed was born on December 4, 1946 in Eggenfeld, Austria the son of the late Kaspar and Franziska (Eisemann) Beregsasy. He served in the US Army. On May 18, 1968 he married the former Diane Layman and she preceded him in death on July 8, 2008. On August 13, 2016, he married Lynne Allan. Ed was a truck driver for Preston’s and later was an instructor for Professional Drivers Institute. He retired from Coca-Cola Beverage in Kalamazoo. Ed loved to sing karaoke, woodworking and oil painting, cooking and baking. He loved his homeland, Austria, skiing and picking blueberries.

Survivors include his wife, Lynne; children: Christopher (Angela) Beregsasy, Brian (Melissa) Beregsasy, and Lisa (Jason) Bailey; step-children: Kristen (Jacob) Estkowski and Erin VerHage; 14 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, all whom he loved dearly. 

Ed was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter and his brother, Herbert Beregsasy.

Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, MI.
