Evelyn Larson

Evelyn Mae Larson, 87, of Bridgman passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday, August 24, 2015 at Woodland Shores Baptist Church, 3555 Shawnee Road, Bridgman with Reverend Winston Decker officiating. Visitation will be held 2 - 4 PM Sunday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Evelyn was born August 29, 1927 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Russell Royce and Ethel M. (Heimel) Ross. On November 7, 1945 she married Allen H. Larson and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1997. Evelyn was a graduate of Bridgman High School and worked in customer service at the NBD Bank. She was a member of Woodland Shores Baptist Church as well as a member of the Bridgman American Legion Post 331 Auxiliary. She enjoyed their cabin up north, loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Barbara Ann (Tony) Ashman of Benton Harbor, Allen Russell Larson of Mountainview, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren: and her sister Martha Neiman. Survivors also include many dear friends she met while living at The Willows the last five years.

Evelyn was also preceded in death by her daughter Nancy Sue Myers of Bridgman in 2011, sister Mary Myers, and her stepfather - Calvin Myers.
