Eugene Langston

Eugene Langston, 87 of Sodus passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at West Woods of Bridgman.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman with Reverend Marc Danapilis officiating.  Burial will follow in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda.  Friends may meet with the family from 10 - 11 am prior to the service.  Memorial contributions may be given to Humane Society - Southwestern Michigan Yeager Family Pet Shelter, 5400 S Niles Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085. Gene was born February 15, 1934 in Sulphur Rock, Arkansas the son the late Shelby and Josie (Brumley) Langston.  On February 21, 1955 he married Georgie Belle Smith and she preceded him in death on April 15, 2003.  He retired from Teledyne Industries in LaPorte after 40 years of service.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all being with family.

Survivors include his three children: Gene (Carolyn) Langston, Rick (Char) Langston and Tammy (Ron) Gunn; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two brothers: Roy (Margie) Langston and Shelby Langston; two sisters: Ann Yarbrough and Phyllis (Eddie) Herron.

Gene was also preceded in death by four brothers and sisters.
