Ervin Reck

Ervin Albert Reck, 91, of Bridgman, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 N. Church Street, Bridgman with Reverend Jon Bendewald officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 9 - 10 AM prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, PO Box 26, Bridgman, MI 49106.

Ervin was born on November 19, 1923 in Bridgman, son of the late Charles A. and Marie (Backus) Reck. On August 17, 1948 he married Mary Jo (Davey) Reck who preceded him in death on January 15, 2012. Ervin graduated from Bridgman High School and served his country in the US Navy. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the NRA, National Muzzle Loader, The American Legion, and the American Single Shot Rifle Association. He worked at Pemco and as a process engineer at Bendix.

Ervin is survived by his children: Christine Reck of Bridgman and Diane Woodford of St. Joseph; grandchildren: Jason and Katelyn Woodford; sister: Karen (Louis) Golub; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter - Barbara Livingston, brothers - Gerald and Donald, and sisters - Nancy Orris and Mildred Reynolds.
