Ernest Boldt

Ernest Reynold Boldt, 80 of Baroda passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Hanson Hospice Center, Stevensville.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2673 W. John Beers, Stevensville. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, November 30 from 6-8 PM at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Home, 4025 Heath Park Lane, St. Joseph or St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stevensville.

Ernest was born December 16, 1934 in Three Oaks the son of the late Ernest and Mollie (Zielke) Boldt. On June 27, 1959 he married Bonnie Lee Nitz. Ernie was a master plumber, learning the trade from his father, he retired from City Plumbing, St. Joseph. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Stevensville and a US Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Bonnie; a son - John Boldt of Georgetown, KY; a daughter - Mary Ellen Auer of Matthews, NC; grandchildren - Morgan Boldt and Jack and Ava Auer; a brother - Dennis (Eloree) Boldt of Baroda; a sister - Delores (Richard) Wertenberger of Baroda and a brother-in-law - Robert Baldwin of Buchanan.

Ernie was also preceded in death by a sister, Judith Baldwin and a brother, Richard Boldt.
