Elke Novak

Elke Ursela Elfride Novak, 59, of Bridgman passed away on Monday, November 9, 2009 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, November 13, 2009 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman with Pastor Jon Bendewald officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to the charity of your choice.

Elke was born May 25, 1950 in Krahenride, Germany the daughter of Horst and Irmgard (Schnoder) Weitsche. She was employed at Martin’s Supermarket in St. Joseph.

Survivors include three children – Charles (Aida) Novak of Chicago, Krystie Dickson of Tennessee, and Nydia (Matthew Ritchie) Resuli of Niles; two granddaughters – Lili Novak and Denice Dickson; and her father, Horst Weitsche of Bridgman.

Elke was preceded in death by her mother, Irmgard Weitsche on February 6, 2007.
