Elaine Spitzer

Elaine June Spitzer, 76, of Buchanan passed away on Tuesday August 24, 2021 at her home in the care of her family.

A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Friday, August 27, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1733 W. Glendora Road, Buchanan. Friends may meet with the family from 11AM – 12 Noon on Friday at the church, prior to the service. Burial will be in Weesaw Township Cemetery, Buchanan. Elaine was born June 18, 1945 in St. Joseph, the daughter of the late Albert and Emily (Busick) Zielke. On May 7, 1966 she married Karl and they shared 55 years together. Elaine was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking, taking care of her home, and spending time with her granddaughters.

Elaine is survived by her husband: Karl; children: Karl (Nikki) Spitzer and Kenneth (Janelle) Spitzer; grandchildren: Kaleigh, Kelby, and Madison; sister: Marilyn (Martin “Skip”) Strefling.

Elaine is also preceded in death by her brother: George Zielke.
