Edward Ott

Edward John Ott, 90 of Bridgman, Michigan passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Hanson Hospice Center, Stevensville.

Funeral Services will be held 1 PM Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 Church Street, Bridgman with Reverend Carl W. Bassett officiating. Friends may meet with the family Wednesday from 5PM - 7 PM at The Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given towards the needs of the family.

Edward was born Thursday, May 17, 1928 in Bridgman, Michigan to the late Edward Sr. and Edith Clara (Robinson) Ott. He married his wife of 69 years, Violet Arlene Gast, on July 3, 1948. Ed was a US Air Force veteran, served over 35 years with the Lake Township Fire Department and was a member of the Bridgman American Legion Post 331 for over 60 years.

Survivors include his wife, Violet; daughter: Pam (Rick) Frederick; grandson: Douglas Frederick; great grandson: Shane Frederick and a sister: Pat (Tom) Thorn.

He was preceded in death by his great grandson: Daniel Edward Frederick; brother: Marvin Ott, Sr.; sisters: Eloris Lausch and Marlene Ott.
