Ed was born in Chicago on April 7, 1932 and grew up with his fraternal twin brother, Walter, in Cicero, Illinois. He served in the United States Army Reserve as a Corporal in the Chemical Corps. Ed proudly attended the Mundelein Seminary and then transferred to Loyola University, where he graduated with a degree in Marketing in 1956. He went on to obtain a Masters of Business Administration degree from DePaul University in Chicago. He spent a successful career as a Market Research Manager and retired from a Chicago-based publishing company after more than 20 years of dedicated service.
On June 17, 1961, he married Sue Ann Suhr, and they shared nearly 60 years together. He was an avid railroad fan and nothing gave him more joy than tracking down unique trains and photographing them. He enjoyed “training” with his son and was proud that some of his photos were published.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue and children: Steve (Kim Seay) and Martha (Mike) Yoshida. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
