Edgar Lee Sneed

Edgar Lee Sneed, 69, of Bridgman passed away on January 18, 2023 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 Church St, Bridgman, MI 49106. Friends may meet with the family from 10-11 AM on Monday at the church, prior to the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Ed was the first baby born in Berrien County on January 1, 1954 in Benton Harbor, the son of the late Edgar and Maud (Cortson) Sneed. He retired from Mossberg & Company in South Bend. Every morning, he would go to Weko Beach to enjoy his coffee. Ed was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed traveling and being outdoors. But most of all, he was his kids’ #1 fan and loved being “Papa” to his grandsons.

Survivors include his children: Sarah (Bryon) Blurton, Merry (Jerry Murdock) Sneed, Aaron Sneed, Maggie (Andrew) Spitzke; six grandsons: Gabriel, Ethan, Emerson, Jase, Shelby, and Jonah; and a sister: Mary Wood.

Edgar was also preceded in death by two sisters: June McCort and Linda Acorn.

Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
