Duane Wetzel

Duane Lloyd Wetzel, 74, of Baroda, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at his home.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, July 28, 2014 at Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda with Hospice Chaplin Scott Brown officiating. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, Saint Joseph, MI 49085 or Baroda Bible Church, PO Box 205, Baroda, MI 49101.

Duane was born September 8, 1939 in Baroda, the son of the late Vern and Belle (Lemon) Wetzel. On November 22, 1958, he married Evelyn Vera Gaul. Duane had been employed at Technisand in Bridgman for almost 40 years. He also farmed and operated his own greenhouse.

Survivors also include his wife of 55 years, Evelyn; children - Timothy (Sherrie) Wetzel of Baroda, Carolyn Tillstrom of Eau Claire, Joseph (Dionne) Wetzel of Hudsonville, Andrew (Amy) Wetzel of Glendora and Benjamin Wetzel of Stevensville; seven grandchildren and a sister Theresa Stineman of Elkhart, IN.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Wetzel.
