Douglas William Fishburn

Douglas William Fishburn, 87, of St. Joseph passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at his home.

Douglas was born on September 19, 1936 in Mishawaka, IN the son of the late Robert and Elmira (Perry) Fishburn. When Doug was three, his birth mother Elmira passed away and his father married Evelyn Hoover in 1939. On March 27, 1982 he married Diane Craft and she preceded him in death in 2022. Douglas was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He retired from the Berrien County Sherriff’s Department and served in law enforcement 40+ years.

Survivors include his children: Lisa (Ken) Crowder, Scott (Julie) Fishburn, Kenton (Kristine) Craft, Tamara Faulkner, Zenia (Mark) Sanchez; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters: Jeanette (Ken) Achteburg and Sharon (Bryan) Nafrady.

Douglas was also preceded in death by a brother: Robert E. Fishburn.
