Dorothy Helen (Hora) Zielke, 88, of Baroda, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at the Timbers of Cass County, Dowagiac.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 27, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baroda, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. A memorial service celebrating her life, will follow at 11:30 a.m., with Reverend Wayne Shearier officiating. Burial will follow at Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Family suggests memorials be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Baroda, or Hospice at Home.
Dorothy was born on October 14, 1922 in Baroda to Alex and Rose (Gast) Hora. She married Paul F. Zielke on September 20, 1941. She was a homemaker, loved to cook, and was a collector of cookbooks.
Surviving is her son Kenneth P. (Linda) Zielke of Stevensville; sister - Agnes Pawlicke of Dowagiac; stepgrandson Shawn (Candace) Randall of Texas; two stepgranddaughters, Sydnie & Gianna Randall of Texas, and other family members and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Paul on Sept. 7, 2011. Her parents, Alex and Rose Hora, three brothers, Joseph, Arthur and Albert Hora and a sister Rose Gaul.
