Dorothy May Zielke, 86 of Bridgman passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at Caretel Inns of Lakeland, St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday Sept. 25 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, with Reverend Jon Bendewald officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 10-11 am Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bridgman. Memorials may be given to Caretel Inns of Lakeland Activity Dept., 3905 Lorraine Path, St. Joseph, MI 49085 or Immanuel Lutheran Church, PO Box 26, 9650 N. Church Street, Bridgman, MI 49106.
Dorothy was born May 8, 1927 in Baroda, the daughter of the late William and Lena (Panko) Krieger. On April 7, 1945 she married Richard G. Zielke and he preceded her in death on January 24, 1995. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bridgman and was a faithful volunteer at Jordan’s Life Care Center in Bridgman.
Survivors include a son, Donald (Kathleen) Zielke of Sault Ste. Marie; daughters, Debra (Terry) Clark of Stafford, VA and Nancy (John Holton) of Kansas City, KS; 8 grandchildren, Brian (Julie) Zielke, Kimberly (Brian) Kinnaird, Julie (Robert) Sutherland, Joel (Tonya) Zink, Tamara (John) Kinas, Jason Clark, Geoffrey (Jennifer) Holton and Andrew (Christy) Holton; 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Harold (Myrna) Krieger of Grand Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carole Zink and a brother William Krieger Jr.
