Donald Petersen

Mr. Petersen was born November 24, 1925 in Chicago the son of the late Otto and Ruth (Sorensen) Petersen. He served in the US Navy during WWII. On November 7, 1947 he married the former Eileen L. Unruh. Don was a member of Harbert Community Church in Harbert. He also volunteered at the River Valley Senior Center delivering meals.

Survivors his wife of 59 years, Eileen; five children – Rodney (Rebecca) Petersen of Dover, Massachusetts, Richard (Claudia) Petersen of Glenview, Illinois, Linda (Patrick) Fallon of Wheaton, Illinois, Ruth (Thomas) Bredemeier of Bannockburn, Illinois, and Kristine (Timothy) Johnson of Grand Haven; and 16 grandchildren.
