Denis Roeder

Denis James Roeder, 66, of Edwardsburg passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5-7 PM Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. A time of sharing memories will begin at 6:30 PM. A private family graveside service will be held at Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Denis was always giving to others, in that spirit memorial contributions may be made to New Heights Auto Services, 4367 S Niles Rd, St. Joseph, MI 49085, a non-profit that provides a helping hand for those in need of automotive repairs. Denis was born on May 2, 1954 in St. Joseph, the son of the late Vernon and Rosalie (Loikits) Roeder. On October 10, 1987 he married Kristine Misch and they shared 33 years together. Denis was the proud owner of Valley Auto Electric in Mishawaka, Indiana and loved to work on his classic cars and show them off. Denis left us too soon. He was a kind man who would help anyone in need.  Just take the time to listen or share his automotive knowledge.  In his free time you could find Denis working in his yard or tinkering around in his garage. Denis was proud of the life he worked so hard to create for his wife and children. His grandson Paxton completed his world.

Survivors include his wife: Kristine; children: Mitchell (Kayleigh) Roeder and Stefanie (Joshua) Dickeson; a grandson: Paxton Roeder; siblings: Donald (Ola) Roeder, Rosalie Svorec and Kenneth Roeder; and many nieces and nephews.

Denis was also preceded in death by his brothers: Dale, Ronald, Vernon, Jr. and John.
