David Johnson

David Andrew Johnson, 95, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman.

A memorial service will be held 10 AM Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Bethany Beach Tabernacle, 12684 Oak Park, Sawyer, with Dr. Clifford Anderson officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Mission Aviation Fellowship, PO Box 47, Nampa, Idaho 83653.

David was born on August 29, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Francis David and Edith (Seline) Johnson. In 1940 he married Doris J. Nordstrom and she preceded him in death July 17, 1997. In the early 60's David was on St. Joseph’s City Counsel and mayor protem. He was an early member of the Society of American Value Engineers as he worked at and retired from Whirlpool Corporation as a draftsman and engineer. He then went to Magnavox Corporation in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 1977 he moved to California. In 1998 he married June M. Hedman-Moline. David was a member of Grace Bible Church in Sun City, Arizona.

Survivors include his wife June; his children - Judy A. (Robert) Green, David C. (Elizabete) Johnson and their children, David R. (Georgette) Johnson, Justin T. Johnson, and Jordan S. Johnson; June’s children - John E. Moline, Steven C. (Sarah) Moline.

David was also preceded in death by three sisters.
