David Draper
David Mitchell Draper, 56, of Bridgman passed away on Friday, July 10, 2009 at University of Chicago Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 2 PM Monday, July 13, at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman with Deacon Mike Gallagher officiating. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 1 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
David was born October 10, 1952 in St. Joseph the son of Thomas and Ruth (Mitchell) Draper. He was a 1971 graduate of St. Joseph High School and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Siena Heights University at Lake Michigan College. On March 19, 1988 he married the former Sandra Smith. David worked for AEP for 26 years, leaving in 2006. He enjoyed running and bicycling and was a member of the Berrien County Woodworkers Guild.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Sandra; his son, Andrew Draper of St. Joseph; his brother, Thomas (Cathy) Draper of St. Joseph; a nephew, Sean Draper and family of Arizona; and a niece, Michelle Lindsey and family of Arizona.
David was preceded in death by his parents – Thomas Draper and Ruth Draper-Moyer.
