David Lee Burwell, Sr.

David Lee Burwell, Sr., 68, of Buchanan passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 4-6 PM on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. David was born on August 9, 1954 the son of the late Lawrence Burwell and Carol Swedenberg. David worked as a tool and die maker by trade. He enjoyed everything outdoors, fishing, hunting, skiing, and golfing.

Survivors include his son: David (Christina) Burwell and his mother: Rebecca Devitt; grandchildren: Payton Burwell, Brandon (Shania) Burwell, Tyler Burwell, Ronnie McGuire and Kevin McGuire; an expected great grandchild in November; and siblings: Dale (Monica) Burwell, Brian (Shelly) Burwell, and Oralia “Gidget” (James) Rhoden.
