Darlene Kay Poisel

Darlene Kay Poisel, 71, of Niles passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022 at her home in the care of her family.    

Cremation has taken place and at this time the family will be remembering Darlene privately. Darlene was a US Army Veteran and will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery in honor of her military service. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.

Darlene was born on March 8, 1951, in South Bend, the daughter of the late Peter and Gladys (Hopkins) Smith. On August 19, 1977 she married Jerrald and they shared 44 years together. She liked frog and snowman trinkets.

Survivors include her husband: Jerrald; children: Jerrald Poisel, Marc (Danielle) Poisel, Shane (Karrie) Poisel; grandchildren: Nevaeh, Ave’ah, Jordan; mother-in-law: Marie Poisel; two sisters: Sharon and Harriet; and a brother: Mike.

Darlene was also preceded in death by her brother: Dennis.
