A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-3 PM on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, MI 49106. Memorial contributions may be given to Rising Kites, PO Box 928, Bridgman, MI 49106. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.

Dan was born on February 16, 1954 in Michigan City, IN the son of the late Pat Hall. On September 15, 1984 he married the former Julie Stout. Dan’s happy place was on a golf course with a cold Miller Lite. He was quick with a Dad joke, both at appropriate and inappropriate times. He pretended to be tough around the edges, but at his core was a loveable softy which was highlighted when he spent time with his grandkids. His easy smile and quick wit will be missed dearly by all who know and love him.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Julie; two children: Kerri (Carl Jurss) Becktell and Michael (Erika) Becktell; four grandchildren: Charlie and Henry Jurss, Quinn and Josephine Becktell; two brothers: Robert Becktell and Dennis (Kathy) Becktell; and two sisters: Sandra (Al) Borglin and Gina (Matt) Helms.

Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
