Dale Sorget

Dale Fredrick Sorget, 76, of Bridgman, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at his home.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 Glenlord Road, St. Joseph, MI 49085  with Reverend Glenn Rosenbaum officiating. Friends may meet with the family Monday, July 6, 2020  from 5-7 PM at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman.  Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Bridgman. Dale was born Friday, January 7, 1944 in Glendora, Michigan, the son of the late Chester August and Mabel Louise (Truhn) Sorget. He married Pamela Wendy Gould on November 29, 1969. Dale graduated from Western Michigan University. He was employed at Whirlpool Corp for 32 years. Dale was on the Board of Public Works for the City of St. Joseph and on the Board of Review for Lake Township.  He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Dale enjoyed golf and gardening.

Dale is survived by his wife: Pamela; children: Christian (Sally) Sorget and Whitney (Eric) Sample; four grandchildren: Liam and Elliot Sorget and Lauren and Alison Sexton; siblings: Joyce Hoge, Carol Herter and Kim (Laura) Sorget.

Dale was also preceded in death by a grandson Angus Sorget; siblings: Robert, Jack and Joan.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremations Service, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman.
