Dale Hora

Dale Alex Hora, 64, of Bridgman, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Friday, June 17, 2016 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman, with Reverend Randy D. Lett officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 5 - 7 PM Thursday, at the funeral home. There will be a motorcycle led procession to Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman for the committal service. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of SW Michigan, 641 S. Crystal, Benton Harbor, MI 49022. A live stream of the funeral service may be seen here at 10 AM Friday.

Dale was born March 6, 1952 in Benton Harbor, to Albert Alex and Carmen Arlene (Layman) Hora. On August 5, 1995, Dale married the former Jacqueline Mueller and they shared 20 years of marriage together. Dale worked at Technisand in Bridgman for over 41 years and was a proud union member of the Teamsters Union Local 135. He was a member of the Bridgman American Legion Post #331 and it’s Sons of the American Legion. Dale loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and traveled to Sturgis, South Dakota for the last 21 years. He was a collector of many things and enjoyed tinkering. He was a life member of ABATE of Michigan and a member of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America.

Dale is survived by his wife: Jacqueline and her daughter: Aaron (Buddy) Head of Middleville, MI; grandchildren: Christopher and Anna, Kylee and Lane; mother - Carmen Hora of St. Joseph; a brother: Michael Hora of Stevensville and his children, Shilin, Nathan, Amber, Candace, Jesse, Portia; a great niece, Viviana.

Dale was preceded in death by his father: Albert Hora in 1994.
