Cody James Loggains

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cody James Loggains, a man whose kindness, generosity, and larger-than-life spirit touched everyone who knew him. Cody passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025 at the age of 34, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on January 15, 1991 in St. Joseph, Michigan, Cody was a talented craftsman, but it was his heart that made him truly unforgettable. Cody adored his family, especially his daughter. His love for them was evident in every gesture, every word, and every moment they shared. He was a kind man who cherished the time spent with his loved ones, and his legacy of love and care will live on in them.

In addition to his love for family, Cody had a passion for softball. His enthusiasm for the game was contagious, and he was known for his humor, sportsmanship, team spirit, and skill on the field. Whether playing in local leagues or travel tournaments, he brought the same energy and dedication to the game that he had to everything else in his life.

But beyond his passions, it was Cody’s gentle nature and infectious laugh that truly set him apart. Known for his boundless compassion, he would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need, whether it was a friend, a neighbor, or even a complete stranger. His selflessness was unparalleled, and he never once asked for anything in return. No matter how big or small the problem, he was always there with a smile and a helping hand. He would crack a joke of any kind to get a smile from those around him or the impromptu car karaoke to left someone’s spirit. His friends and family could count on him for anything, from fixing a broken sink to providing a listening ear in times of need.

Cody leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of this family, his friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Survivors include his daughter, Samantha Loggains; mother, Lynn Wilson; sister, Randi (Morgan French) Loggains and their father, Randy Loggains; grandparents: Anna Wilson, Grover and Sharon Loggains; aunts: Heather (Vance) Grimes and Karri (Michael) Gordon; uncles: Kevin (Carolyn) Wilson, Mark (Beth) Wilson, and Brian Loggains; niece, Madison French; and cousins: Josh (Anna) Gordon, Zach (Brooke) Gordon, Jacob Gordon, Kaylena Gordon, Caleb Gordon, Heather Bishop, Jake Bishop, Cameron Wilson, Collin Wilson, Kendall Wilson, Cohen Wilson, Lucy and Fischer Grimes.
