Charles Eagbert “Bud” Smith, 79, of Baroda passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman with Reverend Kendall M. Holder officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 10 - 11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Memorial contributions may be made to Baroda Church of God, 5020 Cleveland Avenue, Stevensville, MI 49127.
Charles was born August 22, 1934 in Little Rock, Arkansas the son of the late George and Rena (Simmons) Smith. Charles married Marion F. Harding on October 4, 1954. He worked at Anstey Foundry in Stevensville.
Survivors include his wife Marion of 59 years; children - Marion (Edward) Faust of Baroda, Cathy (Allen) Slavens of Bridgman, Charlene Brumley of Berrien Springs; grandchildren - Charlie Smith, Joshua (Kelly) Slavens, Brian (Amanda) Brumley, Mary Brumley; great grandchildren - Bentley Brumley, Skylar Smith, Caitlyn Slavens, Charlie Slavens, Jonathan Brumley, Nevaeh Brumley; and a brother - Wayne (Glenda) Smith of Alabama.
Bud was also preceded by 2 sisters.
